FAQs

  • Maths, English and history for KS2 and KS3 (ages 7-14).

  • I don't tutor for exam years, but I am more than happy to signpost you to more information about it.

  • I exclusively tutor online and find it effective for most children and young people. It's convenient for everyone and allows the use of some great digital tools.

  • Yes! I'm happy to liaise with the local authority or be paid from a personal budget if you have one arranged.

  • I'm always happy to offer a paid trial as it's important to find a tutor who is the right fit for your family. The first lesson is booked and paid for on its own so there's no commitment to continue. After that, I invoice monthly in advanced.

  • Participation is totally up to the young person. Cameras and mics are optional. Some will choose to type directly to me in the chat and I will share their thoughts that way. Over time, many will feel more comfortable having their mics on to discuss and ask/answer questions.

  • Most of the young people I work with have some level of SEN or additional need, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, Tourettes, processing disorders and more.

  • Absolutely not! I work with neurotypical (not neurodivergent) children and young people, as well as those who are waiting for diagnosis or who have chosen not to go down that path. My compassionate approach works well with a range of learners.

  • It can be daunting doing something new! We can always book a free 15 minute Zoom call so that your child can meet me before joining a group or 1:1 session.

Alternatively, my membership may be a great option for those not wanting to do live lessons.
